Bringing Elegance and Functionality to 'Villa Westhinder' in Knokke

Project Details

Nestled within the historic allure of Knokke's architectural gem, 'Villa Westhinder,' a transformation was brought to life, guided by the expert hands of the descendants of Albert Saverys. Paying homage to the visionary essence of the past, this collaboration unveiled a contemporary masterpiece.

The house, designed by the acclaimed architect Henry van de Velde in 1931, stands as a testament to modernist innovation. The current custodians, the grandchildren of Saverys, embarked on a journey to imbue this living legacy with modern functionality.

With the guidance of CUBEX and the artistic touch of interior architect Aurélie Penneman, the family's vision came to life. The resulting kitchen reflects a harmonious blend of form and function, a tribute to both the original spirit of 'Villa Westhinder' and the innovative nature of the project.

This collaborative endeavor stands as a testament to the power of merging heritage with contemporary expertise. The descendants of Saverys, alongside CUBEX, have successfully breathed new life into 'Villa Westhinder,' a living canvas where modern aesthetics meet the soul of history.
